When trouble brews in those remote and invariably urine drinking and donkey abusing parts of the world, why do we always send in the "ELITE" troops first. These are the best guys we've got! If they all get killed we're screwed and then nobody feels too confident and about sending in the next batch who were not quite as good as the guys that got blown to bits being the best. The generals who think this stuff up must be the kind who sit down to a roast dinner with all the trimmings and eat the brussel sprouts first. You have to send in the C or maybe D team right up front. These are the guys who join the army expecting to get killed and who send every cent back to the old homestead in Arkansas so their 6 year old sisters don't have to sleep with travelling salesmen who's cars break down and Pa can stop doing that thing to the chicken that makes the eggs taste funny. The process of natural selection says get rid of the dimwits first, otherwise in 20 years time they'll all be running for President.
